MAG Boxes are dedicated IPTV devices that provide one of the most stable streaming experiences available.
Step 1: Find Your MAC Address
Settings → System Settings → About → Note your MAC address (format: 00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX).
Step 2: Send MAC to Your IPTV Provider
Email your MAC address to your IPTV service. They'll activate your subscription on the portal.
Step 3: Set Portal URL
Settings → System Settings → Servers → Portals → Enter the portal URL provided by your IPTV service.
Step 4: Reboot and Enjoy
Restart your MAG Box. Channels load automatically.

Why MAG boxes are activated differently
A MAG is a dedicated set-top box rather than a general-purpose streamer, so there is no app to install. The box reports its MAC address to the provider's portal, the provider whitelists it, and the line is bound to that hardware. That has one practical consequence people discover late: the subscription is tied to the box, so replacing the box means asking the provider to re-bind the line.
Ask before buying whether the provider supports MAG portals at all. Not all do, and a service that only issues M3U links cannot activate a MAG.
Portal URL versus M3U
Enter the portal URL under Settings → System Settings → Servers → Portals. Leave portal 2 empty unless you run a second subscription. If the box loads a blank portal, the usual cause is a missing trailing slash in the URL — MAG firmware is unusually strict about it.
Firmware, and when not to update
MAG firmware updates occasionally break portal compatibility with specific providers. If your box works, leave it. If you must update, note the current firmware version first so support can help you roll back.
Wired, always
MAG boxes have weaker Wi-Fi radios than modern streamers. If the box is anywhere near a router, use ethernet — it eliminates the majority of stability complaints on this device class.
